Amnesty International

www.lacasadelhorror.com/english.html

A great example of an effective viral campaign which aims to make a difference. Also terrifying!!! I wont ruin what its about but it shows how amnesty international continues to update its ideas, keep up with new media and how it can be used to have a maximum impact.

Lance Wyman

Lance Wyman has been designing for nearly fifty years and looking back at his work you can see it could be used now (mexico olympics 1968 above). He specialises in branding and way finding and anyone interested in this should really look at his website http://www.lancewyman.com/

Situation Leeds

Situation Leeds is an independent contemporary visual art festival, bringing together artists and arts organisations to explore art in public places through installations, events, debates, video and publications.
I came across this installation when walking into the city centre and just thought it was a great way to use the city scape in an exciting way and make a derelict area a place of interest and conversation. The two artists had to re-do this nearly every morning as in the evenings it was often damaged by drunks, thats dedication!

Face of fashion

An exhibition definately worth seeing, especially those interested in photography and art direction, although I think it finishes soon. Mario Sorrentis work is amazing, particularly the Sharon Stone protrait. The few featured artists show so much varation the exhibition could provide a lot of inspiration! Alot of these works have been featured in the 'super glossy' magazine Pop, which if you like these images is definately worth a buy.
